Access to our Brokerage accounts are available to our employer-paid and actively subscribed members. If you leave your employer or cancel your subscription, you can do one of the following:
Leave your funds invested
We never force account closure or liquidation of your investments, so you can keep your existing Brokerage Account open by paying a low $0.50 monthly maintenance fee. This allows you to retain the assets in your account and avoid potentially triggering taxes or fees from transfers. You won't be able to make any new deposits or trades.
Close your account and withdraw the funds
If you choose to close your Brokerage Account after leaving your employer or canceling Origin, you can liquidate positions or transfer assets out at any time. Please note there is a 10-day waiting period for withdrawing funds deposited via ACH. So any ACH deposits within the last 10 days must remain for the full period before being withdrawn. Please contact Support to close your account.
Transfer assets to another brokerage account
To transfer assets out, there is a $65 Automated Customer Account Transfer (ACAT) fee deducted from your account balance. Contact our team and we'll be happy to efficiently facilitate closing your account and transferring your assets.
