If you have any funds in a brokerage product (such as Origin Cash Account, Stock Bundles, or Auto Index), you'll need to withdraw those funds before canceling your account. This helps ensure your assets are properly returned to you before closure.
Once all funds have been withdrawn and your balances are $0, then you’ll be good to move forward with canceling your account.
On Desktop:
If you'd like to delete your profile, you may do so by heading to your Origin profile and selecting 'Security'.
At the bottom of the screen you should see the option to 'Delete Account'.
This will submit a request to our Support team who will confirm the deletion of your data for you.
On the App:
Click the circle with your initials in the upper left hand corner.
Choose Security -> Deactivate account
Note: You may not see the password fields pictured above if you access Origin via employer SSO
